My Story
Hi, I’m Nanie, and this is where my heart lives—on canvas and in my growing family. A few years ago, after the birth of my second child, I found myself struggling with postpartum depression, though I didn’t realize it at the time. It wasn’t until I reached out to my dear girlfriends and traveled to reconnect with them that I had a profound revelation: I needed to paint. It was like a spark reignited my soul.
When I returned home, I dove into painting every chance I got. Each brushstroke became therapy, filling my heart with joy and purpose. With my husband’s incredible support, we transformed a corner of our world into a “she shed studio”—a sacred space where I create, often with my kiddos splashing color alongside me. Painting has become my sanctuary, a way to heal and celebrate life.
When I learned I was pregnant with my third child—a baby boy due in early June—I stepped away from social media to focus on nurturing this little human and my art. Now, as we prepare for his arrival, I’m ready to share my journey with you. This website features my original oil paintings, prints, and an option to donate if that’s what moves you. Every piece and contribution helps us cover the costs of a home birth and postpartum care, ensuring a loving start for our son and me.
I’m so excited to open this chapter to you—friends, family, and new faces alike. Whether you bring home a piece of my art or simply share in this moment, I’m grateful you’re here.
With love,
Nanie
